YouCanBe: Tools for Social Entrepreneurs and Friday the13th Event

On September 13 at 5:00 PM at KOTUR, ARNO is organizing an event to promote tools for social entrepreneurs and a mini-celebration of Friday the 13th, featuring a discussion and networking session with local social entrepreneurs (Aleksandra Bela from URMA, Kristijan Shopov (Eco-magician and Srekjotvorec), and Magdalena from Lice v lice). To register, all you need to do is fill out this form (Please note, the event is in Macedonian language)

In the spirit of Friday the 13th, we’ll talk about the “misfortunes” of successful entrepreneurs, play “Unfortune Cookie” (nonformal education at its best), share toolkits for social entrepreneurs developed within the YOU-CAN-BE project, and hold a (mini) info session for the new open call for young entrepreneurs – RISE Journey 5.

Event Agenda:

Part One
5:00 PM – 6:35 PM: Living Libraries: We talk about the “misfortunes” of successful entrepreneurs (URMA, Lice v lice, and Kristijan Shopov) and introduce the You-Can-Be toolkit for social entrepreneurs.

Part Two
6:35 PM – 6:40 PM: RISE Journey 5 info session for the new open call for young entrepreneurs
6:40 PM – 6:50 PM: Q&A
6:50 PM – 7:00 PM: Game – Unfortune Cookie

For those encountering our projects for the first time, here is a brief description:

The You Can Be project is implemented by the Apprentis d’Auteuil Foundation – France (coordinator), Vilniaus Kolegija – Lithuania, Asociatia Scoala De Valori – Romania, Zaklada Znanje na djelu – Croatia, and the Association for Social Innovation “ARNO” – North Macedonia. The project is funded by the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union. Within this project, many meetings and exchanges were held, and several handbooks were created to serve trainers, mentors, teachers, social entrepreneurs, and colleagues working on this topic.

The RISE project is in search of its 5th generation of youth! All young people (16-35) with a team (at least 2 people) and an idea for making something good for society and the environment can apply. If selected, they will receive a €2,500 grant, loads of knowledge, amazing mentors, and the chance to travel the region and meet similar ideas. The call is open and can be viewed here. At the event, attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions.
