The RISE III journey has started!

On November 25th, in Public Room, Skopje, the ARNO team held the first meeting with this year’s RISE teams. As part of the RISE program, the expert jury selected 7 teams with interesting and innovative ideas. These are the teams that ARNO and mentors will work with within the upcoming months: Rebel, Awear, Grasp, Active workplace, Medical Mushroom garden, Coffee Mates and Natural Revolution.

At the first meeting, the teams had the opportunity to present themselves and their idea to the other teams. Through non-formal education tools, ARNO prepared the participants for the next steps of the journey and introduced them to the concept of social entrepreneurship and the types of business models that can be developed.

After the presentation of the theoretical part with practical and successful examples of social and green businesses, the participants acquired basic knowledge about social businesses and received their first homework.

The RISE project is led by a consortium composed of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO), GROUPE SOS Pulse, South East European Youth Network (SEEYN), and the Franco-German Youth Office (OFAJ), and implemented by six local incubators: ARNO (Macedonia), Balkan Green Foundation (Kosovo), Nesto vise (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Smart Kolektiv (Serbia), IEC Tehnopolis (Montenegro) and Yunus Social Business (Albania). This project is co-funded by the French Development Agency (AFD), the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO), and the Erasmus + Programme of the European Union.
