ARNO participated in the fair of civil society organizations and social enterprises

On September 24, 2022, the fair of civil society organizations and social enterprises was held in the park in front of the House of the Army behind the “Mother Teresa” museum in Skopje. The fair was organized by Civica Mobilitas and the Center for Social Enterprises, where more than 110 civil organizations and social enterprises from all over the country participated and presented their activities and results to the public. The program started at 10.00 am with several dance group performances and a performance by Christian Shopov – a magic show in the spirit of social entrepreneurship. The following speakers addressed the audience: Veronique Ulman – Ambassador of Switzerland, David Geer – Ambassador of the EU to North Macedonia, Fatmir Bitikji – Deputy Prime Minister in charge of economic issues and coordination of economic departments and investments; and Barbara Sadowska – Team Leader of the EU project “Support to social enterprises”.

At the fair, the ARNO team presented some of the current projects and the results of already completed ones:

• Within the INN@SE project, ARNO produced a manual for social entrepreneurship that was presented to the visitors who had the opportunity to leave their data and receive a free electronic version.
• Interested citizens registered to play the bingo for social entrepreneurship, where the winner received a symbolic prize.
• The Design thinking box attracted the most attention at the ARNO stand. Through the 6 thinking hats methodology, on stickers in different colors, citizens  wrote their opinion and helped test the Click & Pick idea. Click & Pick is an online place for obtaining information about social entrepreneurship in Macedonia – a service concept developed by ARNO in cooperation with several colleagues from other organizations and institutions. The initiative consists of an online document (which will become a web platform in the future) with free access to information on social entrepreneurship (open calls, researchers, events, manuals, etc.).
