Apply for the Youth Forum on Economic Democracy – June 19, 2025
What does a fairer economic future look like from a youth perspective? Can employees also be owners and decision-makers? These are the key questions to be explored at the Youth Forum on Economic Democracy and Employee Ownership, which will take place on June 19, 2025, at Europe House Skopje.
The event aims to create space for dialogue on economic democracy, workplace culture, and youth participation in shaping a fairer working environment.
The program will include:
- Presentations and discussions on the ESOP model – a form of ownership where employees have a stake and a say in decision-making;
- Conversations on economic democracy as a fair tool for youth involvement;
- Exploration of workplace culture and human capital;
- An open debate on how young people envision the ideal workplace.
The forum will feature speakers from Slovenia and North Macedonia, representing universities, research institutes, civil society organizations, the business sector, and youth entrepreneurs.
The event is open to all young people interested in the topics of economic justice and workplace democracy.

The project “Shaping the Future of Work: Youth Democratic Workplaces for Social Change” is implemented by the Institute for Economic Democracy – Slovenia (coordinator) and the Association for Social Innovations “ARNO” – North Macedonia. The project is funded by the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union. Through this project, various activities and resources are being developed to promote employee ownership models, democratic governance, and social innovations, enabling young people to actively participate in shaping the future.
