“Youth Voices” was a Regional Campaign supported by UNFPA EECARO. The campaign, implemented in two parts, aimed to ensure that young people are placed in the center of the future national and global development agenda, and the post-2015 process. In the first part, the Y-PEER Network in North Macedonia comprised of several members (ARNO is a member of Y-PEER Macedonia) that designed a youth-oriented campaign. This was to implement the Regional “Youth Voices” campaign with activities tailored to the local needs. The second part of the Youth Voices Campaign was carried within full administration and lead from ARNO.
Campaign Results: The youth recommendations on post-2015 were endorsed by 49 Macedonian NGOs, which including political parties’ youth wings. These recommendations were delivered to a representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who shared it with the Macedonian delegation to the UN General Assembly. Following the adoption of the sustainable development goals, the campaign team that was led by ARNO activists continued to engage young people in online and offline activities.
Highlights: The Macedonian youth chose the following SDGs as their primary interest – Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being, and Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
