ARNO hosted the Conference Social Entrepreneurship Without Borders: Opportunities for Cooperation
ARNO had the role of hosting the final conference of the project “Social Economy without borders” that took place on 08 October 2019 in Skopje.
The conference was opened by Barbara Sadovska from the Barka Fondation from Poland (project coordinator) who introduced the social entrepreneurship system in Poland, together with the guests- representatives from Polish Institutions. This session’s objective was to provide visibility of the role of local communities in strengthening the social entrepreneurship/public procurements, and to share best practices in the given context.
The second part of the conference consisted of the presentation of Macedonian social enterprises.
The last session was a panel discussion attended by eminent experts: Sofija Spasovska (Ministry of labour and social policy, Skopje),Mihail Listvon (Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Krobia, Poland), Gerard Miziajk (Director of the workshop for people with disabilities from Pijaski, Poland). The moderator of the panel, Nikica Kusinikova (Konekt) asked set of questions to the panelists which led to a discussion for the development of SE, elaborating on law aspects, support mechanism, funding, public procurement.
The panel was followed by an open discussion and ended with a short conclusion which encouraged networking among the participants.
