On September 2017, in Public Room – Skopje, the first male fair titled “Men Can Do It, too!” was organized. Three workshops, “Men Iron”, “Men Cook” and “Creative Games for Children”, were held within the fair where men and boys from North Macedonia took part. This event was part of the national campaign “Men Can Do It, Too”, within the project “Engaging Men and Boys for Gender Equality” implemented by “ARNO” in partnership with Y-PEER Macedonia, with the support of the UNFPA Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The campaign focused on promoting positive examples of paternity in everyday family life, as well as chores and caregiving. This was followed by great interest in the media and the public.

Highlights: The campaign was endorsed by George Georgievski, the world’s most famous father from Australia (of Macedonian origin), who became a hit on the social networks by preparing kids snacks.
