From 30 March to 05 April in Amalfi, Italy training „Developing competencies framework guidelines for teachers of social entrepreneurship” from the “STRET Teacher Toolkit 2” project was held. Тhe training was led by educators from the “UAB Schoold of Education” leaders in the transformation towards skills-oriented education in Lithuania.
The participants were warmly welcomed by the host- Istituto Istruzione Superiore Statale “Marini-Gioia” and the mayor of the municipality of Amalfi. The training was held in several regional locations: the municipal offices of Maiori and Amalfi and the city library of Amalfi. In this setup, the participants had the possibility to hear first-hand information about the work and role of the municipalities in the educational system and the support they provide to entrepreneurial education and local entrepreneurship.
The training was an opportunity for the partners to acquire knowledge of the competencies for teachers and educators on the European level and share their experiences in entrepreneurship education and programs in their respective countries. The trainers led the participants in identifying and defining the key competencies that every professor in social entrepreneurship should have, as well as guided the participants to set up the methodology and structure of the competencies framework guidelines that partners will work on in the following period. Moreover, Asociatia Scoala De Valori – Romania presented the platforms for digital competencies of teachers and educators of the European Union, DigiCompEdu, and Selfie, for which further online workshops will be organized.
“The training was useful to learn more about a complex topic as the competencies framework for professors for social entrepreneurship and have better insights of the methodology needed for the production of guidelines and other educational materials for quality education for social entrepreneurship. It was a real pleasure to work with the educators from the “UAB School of Education” that transfer their experience and knowledge and helped us to better understand the future of the the skills-based education.”- said, Marjan Icoski, program manager at ARNO.
