(Extended Call) RISE Journey 3: Call for young social entrepreneurs

The Organization for Social Innovation “ARNO” as a local incubator in the project RISE (Regional Incubator for Social Entrepreneurs), opens the Call for young people (16-35) with innovative ideas for social and green businesses for solving social and environmental challenges. The call for applications for the third edition of the RISE program is extended until 06.11.2022, at 23.59h. 

If you are a young person (aged 16-35) and have a team with an idea for a social and green business that will make your local community a better place to live, this call is for you! The RISE program offers educational and financial support that will help you to transform your idea into a social business. RISE provides you the opportunity to: 

• learn from experienced organizations, mentors, and experts (such as discovering your brand`s spirit animal, green budgeting, design thinking, public relations, etc.)
• receive financial support for your idea (without the responsibility to register a new legal entity ex. company/association, even if ideally you would be encouraged to do so :))
• receive a mini-grant for regional mobility (finances that you can use to visit another idea/institution/business, useful for the development of your idea) 
• network and exchange experience with other RISE participants 
• get to know all relevant stakeholders in the social economy in the Western Balkans

RISE is not just a program for social entrepreneurs, but is a vibrant community of young social innovators and leaders in the region that creates positive changes, nurtures good values, and does good in communities. On a regional level, in the first two editions of the program, we supported 274 young people and 88 ideas from the Western Balkans, part of which grew in functional social businesses and received other regional awards, grants, and attracted the attention of the donors and the media (and we are extremely proud of them:))

*The working language of the program is Macedonian, with frequent usage of international terminology and literature in English, while the regional activities and communication are conducted entirely in the English language.

The RISE project is led by a consortium composed of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO), GROUPE SOS Pulse, South East European Youth Network (SEEYN), and the Franco-German Youth Office (OFAJ), and implemented by six local incubators: ARNO (Macedonia), Balkan Green Foundation (Kosovo), Nesto vise (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Smart Kolektiv (Serbia), IEC Tehnopolis (Montenegro) and Yunus Social Business (Albania). 

This project is co-funded by the French Development Agency (AFD), the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO), and the Erasmus + Programme of the European Union.
