Kick-off meeting of the S.T.R.E.T. TT 2 project in Lithuania

From the 5-8 of December, in Lithuania, the kick-off meeting of the Students today, responsible entrepreneurs tomorrow – Teacher Toolkit 2 (STRET TT 2) took place. Marjan from ARNO, participated at the meeting together with representatives from the project partners, High School “Rade Jovchevski Korchagin” (N.Macedonia), Istituto Istruzione, Superiore Statale “Marini-Gioia” (Italy), and Asociatia Scoala De Valori (Romania). The meeting, hosted by the coordinator “Radviliskio Lizdeikos Gimnazija” announced the start of the second edition of the project and set up the contours and plans for the productive and effective work of the consortium in the next three years.

This project is a continuation of the long-standing partnership between the partners from Lithuania and N.Macedonia and builds upon the success of the previous edition that introduced new concepts in entrepreneurial teaching in high schools, based on social entrepreneurship, corporate social responsibility and philanthropy. STRET TT 2 will continue these good practices, and additionally, will enhance and assess the teachers` key competencies in social entrepreneurship education through the creation of competencies frameworks and guidelines for the usage of digital tools for reflective teaching and learning.

“It is a pleasure to see how the cooperation between the partners grows and extends from 2016 onwards. The second edition of the project will set up new competencies frameworks for teachers and inspire the digital transformation of the classroom all in all to contribute to the EU`s vision of skills-oriented (social) entrepreneurship education in schools. Social entrepreneurship as a way of solving community problems will only just become more popular and recognized in the years to come. Therefore, we are glad to be one of the pioneers in creating an educational toolkit for teachers who will set up standards for teaching social entrepreneurship in high schools and will empower new generations of social entrepreneurs, philanthropists and youth community leaders.” – said, Marjan Icoski, program manager at ARNO.
