ARNO participated in the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2022

As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2022, which took place from 14th to 20th November, ARNO contributed with the online workshop: “Introduction to Design Thinking for Social Entrepreneurs”.

ARNO is one of the first organizations in Macedonia that introduces the design thinking approach or how to think like a designer, as new in the myriad of talks and practices for social and green entrepreneurship. The design thinking workshop was led by Irina Janevska and Marjan Icoski, who welcomed a guest speaker – Marjan Nikolovski, who lives and works in Denmark.

Marjan Nikolovski has 10+ years of working experience with people, concepts, and business development and has several international degrees from various Danish universities. The most recent one, a master’s degree in Organizational Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the Business School in Copenhagen.

Participants in this workshop had the opportunity to learn the principles of design thinking with a focus on entrepreneurship as a powerful tool for doing good in the world. During the interactive presentation, a reflection on social enterprises and local realities was made, where the workshop participants had the opportunity to understand the entrepreneurial way of thinking and how they can initiate social change. This workshop also aimed to motivate the participants to explore the basic principles of social innovation, the creation of products and services, and their prototyping and implementation in reality.
