ARNO Celebrates 13 Years: Free Workshop “Google Maps for Beginners”

ARNO is thrilled to celebrate its 13th birthday, continuing its mission to champion social innovation, green development, and digital literacy. As part of our birthday celebrations and under the DigiCitizenEdu, project, we are hosting a free online workshop titled “Google Maps for Beginners.”

The event is scheduled for Monday, July 27, 2026, starting at 12:00 PM (lasting for 40 minutes, until 12:40 PM), and will be held virtually via the Zoom platform. The workshop is designed for anyone looking to boost their everyday digital navigation skills, learn how to navigate urban environments more easily, find the nearest pharmacy or store, understand real-time traffic updates and congestion color codes, and plan more complex routes by adding multiple stops along the way.

Reflecting on the symbolism behind this year’s celebration, ARNO Founder and President Irina Janevska shared:

“2026 started off as a tough year for ARNO; at one point, we felt like we were losing our direction, but through a lot of faith, hard work, and good coordinates, we are staying on the map of the civil sector. And so, knowing how crucial it is to have the right heading and good advice, we decided to give back by offering a free workshop on how to use Google Maps. Everyone is welcome to apply!”
