A workshop was held at the Youth Forum of SOS Children’s Village

The second day of the Youth Forum, organized within the project “Empowering the youth through new opportunities” (YEEP) implemented by SOS Children’s Village, was held on the 6th of October in the premises of Public Room, Skopje. At the invitation of the organizer, and of a big pleasure to the ARNO team, the workshop “Social entrepreneurship from A to Z with design thinking examples” was held.

Irina Janevska and Marjan Icoski from ARNO conveyed the basic concepts of social entrepreneurship to the participants (through each letter of the “Bushavata azbuka”), and shared examples of social and green businesses from our country, indicating how the “design thinking” tool can be used when thinking about social businesses.

The workshop itself was attended by more than 10 participants who showed great interest and actively participated in the discussions. For most of the participants, this was the first time they encountered this methodology, inspiring them to think about their next entrepreneurial steps. In the final part of the workshop, Marjan and Irina announced the current opportunities for building the capacities of young social entrepreneurs:

All participants of the workshop received free plantable eco-cards that are promotional material for the “Social Enterprises for Economic Development and Social Inclusion” project and are a product of local green and creative business that ARNO traditionally supports. In the gallery, you can see some of the photos from this workshop.
